Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday directed a stay on any action against the director of Kolkata-based sports management company Game Plan against whom Team India Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni had lodged an FIR for allegedly refusing payment against an advertisement.

The stay order came as the sports management company appealed to the high court after Dhoni had filed an FIR against it at the Doranda police station here accusing it, among others, breach of trust.

The bench of Justice D G R Patnaik also asked the parties to sit and find a solution within two weeks and asked the director of the sports management company not to leave the country.

According to police sources, an FIR had been lodged earlier this month after Dhoni couriered a complaint to the Doranda police station.

The FIR alleged Game Plan had refused payment of Rs eight crore under sections 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust), 409 (Criminal Breach of Trust by public servant or by banker, merchant or agent and 420 (cheating) and other sections.

The company moved the Jharkhand High Court pleading to quash the FIR as it has reportedly deposited a part of money in a bank on the order of Calcutta High Court recently.
