2011 Cricket World Cup Ticket Sales Has Begun


The first phase of 2011 cricket World Cup ticket sales has begun and fans could buy tickets as low as 20 U.S. cents.

More than 100,000 tickets will be released for the event co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh next February-March.

The ticket sales were approved by the World Cup's central organizing committee, which met here in the financial hub of India on Tuesday.

The International Cricket Council said in a statement that from July 1, technology will allows spectators to pick tickets for specific teams and venues and will even be able to see exactly where their seat is in a ground.
