The second One-Day International between New Zealand and Pakistan in Queenstown was abandoned due to rain after just 4.2 overs of play were possible.

Pakistan had raced to 31 without loss, with openers Mohammad Hafeez and Ahmed Shehzad on four and 25 respectively, before heavy rain descended.

The game was eventually called off just before 08:00 GMT and the series moves on to Christchurch on 29th January with New Zealand 1-0 up with four games to play following a comprehensive nine-wicket victory in the opening match in Wellington.
